How to go to Cha-am

From the capital of Thailand, which is 200 km north, you will reach Cha-am in 2 to 3 hours depending on your location and the time of the day. Only the journey by train will take longer. The highway to the south is in a fair condition and a recent extension to 3 lanes is finished since 2008. Outside of Bangkok traffic jams will occur only on weekends and public holidays.
